Editors, journalists and media professionals can access a recent report on the representation of women in print media in six Eastern European countries.
“Stereotyping: Representations of Women in Print Media in South East Europe” is published by Mediacentar, Sarajevo and contains analysis of research conducted in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Macedonia and Serbia.
The report concludes that although media and political freedoms have improved greatly in the region, views associated with gender have remained static.
The project is a joint endeavor of the South East European Network for the Professionalization of The Media (SEENPM) and the Balkan Human Rights Network (BHRN), funded by SEENPM, the Open Society Foundation BiH (FODBiH) and the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs Neighborhood Program (NAB).
