Тhe UN Secretary-General's study on violence against women is  ready and translated, it will be presented at the UN General Assembly in October 9 2006. The in-depth study on all forms of violence against women analyzes the context and causes of violence against women as well as its forms, consequences and costs. It presents various ways of collecting data on violence against women and focuses on the responsibility of the State to address the issue in a separate subchapter. At the end of the study conclusion and recommendations are offered aimed to address more effectively the negative phenomenon.

The Center of Women’s Studies and Policies was among the organizations who submitted inputs to the study based on our experiences in addressing violence against women.
