Bulgaria joined for the 15 time the International 16 days Campaign. The focus of the campaign this year is the social aspect of domestic violence and its dramatic consequences for children as well as the implementation of the Law on Protection against Domestic Violence, adopted by the National Assembly in March 2005.

On 25 November the 16 days campaign 2005 in Bulgaria officially started for a 15 time with a press conference organized by Nadja Center and the Bulgarian Media Coalition with the financial support of the British Embassy in Bulgaria. The press conference was followed by a working group for representatives of governmental institutions, non-governmental organizations and media. The concluding conference will be on 10 December.
