“Women in politics – policies for women. The liberal perspective” is the theme of the discussion, organized by the Liberal Politological Institute, which will take place on November 9, 2004 (Tuesday) from 9:30 to 15:00 in Valdi Palace Hotel, Hristo Botev Sq., Vratsa. The aim of the discussion is to present the liberal perspective and the challenges to women’ participation in the political and social life with regard to the EU accession process and the forthcoming parliamentary elections in 2005. Speakers at the forum will be the members of Parliament Mr. Veselin Bliznakovq Secretary of National Movement Simeon II, Ms. Lilyana Krasteva and Ms. Milena Paunova, the Minister of Labour and Social Policy Ms. Hristina Hristova, representatives of the municipal and regional administration of Vratsa, non-governmental and business organizations. Ms. Tatyana Kmetova, Executive Director of the Center of Women’s Studies and Policies will speak about the challenges that non-governmental organizations, working on gender issues face today.
