CWSP organizes the First National Meeting of Women Leaders from Different Ethnic Groups in Bulgaria on January 31^st and February 1^st, 2004 in Sofia. Representatives of Jewish, Turkish, Romany, Armenian and Bulgarian non-governmental organizations are invited to take part in this unique event.

The conference will discuss the changes in Bulgarian legislation concerning the rights and status of women in the context of the European Union accession process. The forum aims at fostering good relationships between the participating organizations and encourages joint future initiatives for solving common problems.

Guests of honour are Minister Filiz Husmenova, chairperson of the National Council on Ethnical and Demographic Issues, H.E. Mrs. Sevda Sevan, Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia in the Republic of Bulgaria, Mrs. Dana Benvenisti-Gabay, second secretary with the Israeli embassy in Bulgaria.
